I do love the jangly pop and Jude has always been a favorite. I remember when I first heard him. he opened up for Ben Folds Five on their final tour in Chicago. I remember two things about that show - he music was awesome and he had a great stage presence. For example, he was about to play a song that was on the piano and he started and then stopped, looked up and said "How ballsy is it to try and play the piano right before Ben Folds steps on stage."
His first CD was a little independent number and then Madonna picked it up and re-recorded most of it on her new Maverick label. The CD, "No One Is Really Beautiful" is one of those cds you can play over and over again. His follow up is great too. He has since left maverick and I think he self-publishes. He has some great songs, you should check it out. The video above is for one of my favorites - "Rick James"
