More Obama Ad madness

McCain and company seem to have a passion for these cheesy ads. When you think about it though - that's the only way this campaign theme can really work.

It is tongue & cheek so that critics can just laugh it off. In the meantime, there is a good portion of "red state world" who see these every day and it sinks in. The idea that he is inexperienced is fair. Let's face facts - he isn't carrying the longest resume. He's all wind. The thing that I think is interesting though is that these ads play up the inexperience second only to the idea of how cool and popular he is. I am going out on a limb here, but I will just say it. I think that they know that a constant barrage of this narrative puts the more racist element up in arms. I think that the average under-educated household is very uncomfortable with black people - and seeing a black guy being hailed as such a star makes them uncomfortable.

I really do think that the target for these ads is the subtle racist. I could be wrong...but I don't think I am.
